Stand for election in Brentwood or Chelmsford

The Green Party has had success electing Green councillors to Essex County Council, as well as continuously standing Brentwood & Chelmsford Green Party candidates in elections for:

  • Chelmsford City Council
  • Brentwood Borough Council
  • Parish Council level
  • and General Elections to our two Parliamentary constituencies

We need lots of volunteer candidates to stand in as many divisions and wards as possible in the forthcoming local elections scheduled to take place in Brentwood and Chelmsford – to give as many people as possible the chance to Vote Green.

If you are interested in standing for election or want to find out more then do get in touch with us.

Essex County Council

The next Essex County Council elections are scheduled for May 2025; the last county council election having taken place in 2021. There are numerous Divisions across Brentwood and Chelmsford, each electing a Councillor.

Brentwood Borough Council

The Borough is now divided into 13 wards, each of which has three councillors.  All 39 Borough Council seats were being contested at the elections in May 2024, where B&CGP was standing candidates in nine separate wards.

Chelmsford City Council

Chelmsford holds full City Council elections every four years, alongside parish area elections. The last council elections took place in 2023 and the next are due in May 2027, across all 24 wards in and around the city.
